Our simple promise to you:
VerifyFriendly is designed to protect your privacy. We do not sell your data, we do not store the content of your messages, and we never share your information with advertisers.
What information do we collect?
When you use VerifyFriendly to check a message, link, or phone number, we send that content to our secure server for analysis. We do NOT permanently store the full content of what you check. If you are signed in, we save a brief summary (the first 50 characters) along with the risk level result, so you can see your check history. You can delete this history at any time in Settings. If you save Trusted Contacts, we store their names, relationship, phone numbers, and email addresses. This information is only visible to you.
How do we use your information?
We use the content you submit only to analyze it for scam indicators and return a result to you. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build profiles about you, and we do not share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service (such as our AI analysis provider, which processes data under strict privacy terms).
How is your data protected?
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Our servers are secured and access is strictly limited. We follow industry best practices for data security.
How long do we keep your data?
Scam check content is discarded immediately after analysis. Check history summaries are kept until you delete them in Settings. Trusted Contact information is kept until you remove it. If you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal information we hold about you. You can delete your check history and trusted contacts directly in the app. For any other requests, please contact us.
